Skip ahead is a feature that minimizes the gap between live channel and your streaming server.

Streaming servers save a little buffer to provide continuous streaming by reducing freezing, buffering, or loading. That is the reason why satellite TV may seem it's faster a bit compare to your streaming.

Skip ahead function removes that buffer to get the closest real-time streaming experience.
